Hi all,
I am wondering if you would all want to meet in a new location for the next meeting. Some have expressed dissatisfaction with the Beehive: crowded, not good for non-smokers, hard to find a parking space in the South Side. I am thinking of Panera Bread in Oakland (Blvd of the Allies). No smoking inside, and they have a separate meeting room that can be reserved at no cost. Let me know what you think. If I don't hear numerous objections within a week, or a better location, I'll reschedule the meeting there. - Andrew |

I'm not sure where that Panera's is. You mean the one which is around the corner from the Pittsburgh Playhouse?
I rather like the Beehive, partly because it's privately owned and I try to patronize the few places left in America which aren't owned by chains. I also like its funky atmosphere. However, I can walk down on my own if I want to give it some business. Suzanne |

Hey Suzanne,
You learned how to use the message board! Yay! Well, one member suggested a place that's privately owned in Lawrenceville. I'd have to go there to check it out first, but that's an option. Lara also mentioned the Coffee Tree in Shadyside. So we have choices. - Andrew |

I don't care where we meet. My only concern is space, we might have eight or more people at the next meeting. Any place where we can reserve a big table under the name "Freethinkers" would make it easier for us to grow and add new members.
